Laudrup ... The Dynasty Continues

Postby The GFP » May 9th, 2012, 4:23 pm

just been checking '442news' and saw this score in the Danish Cup

Ringsted 0-9 Nordsjaelland

So i had a look to see who scored and saw that A Laudrup scored 2 goals

I did some digging

Finn Laudrup had 2 sons, Brian Laudrup & Michael Laudrup

Brian Laudrup has a son Nicolai Laudrup who plays in Denmark for Ølstykke.

Michael Laudrup has 2 sons, Mads Laudrup who plays in Denmark for Herfølge Boldklub and Andreas Laudrup who plays in Denmark for FC Nordsjælland.

So 1 grand father, 2 dads & 3 sons all footballers covering 3 generations

thats not too bad

it would be great for danish football if the 3 boys turn out to be as good as their dads

Since writing this quite a while ago (about 2010 on another forum) Michael Laudrup has come to the Premier League to manage Swansea and is doing a superb job

His son Andreas Laudrup is still at Nordsjaelland and they ended up winning the Danish League and then this season 2012/13 were drawn in the same Champions League group as Chelsea (who his uncle Brian Laudrup once played for)

They got spanked 6-1 at the bridge and Andreas did not get a game

Nordsjaelland's Champions League group results

Shakhtar Donetsk 2-0 Nordsjælland
Nordsjælland 0-4 Chelsea
Nordsjælland 1-1 Juventus
Juventus 4-0 Nordsjælland
Nordsjælland 2-5 Shakhtar Donetsk
Chelsea 6-1 Nordsjælland

Andreas managed 4 Champions League games this season, 2 as a sub & started the other 2

They managed 1 point & conceded 22 goals but they are a tiny club and this was their first time in the Champions League
