Vermaelen & Vertonghen played together for Ajax in Holland Thomas played for Ajax from 2003 to 2009 & Jan from 2006 to 2012

and

internationally for Belgium for the last few years as Thomas made his Belgium debut in 2006 & Jan in 2007

Not sure about this, I suppose we can fit a versatile player like him into our defensive ranks.

Not seen any signs of genuine interest though, but we don't always with Arsenal.

I don't think a new CB is going to help our, at times, shambolic defending. I'm hoping Bouldy will set them straight... but we'll see.
