There have been 5 Emirates Cup tournaments since we moved to Cashburton and Arsenal have only won 3 of them.

2007 - Arsenal beat PSG 2-1 then Inter Milan 2-1 to win the cup
2008 - Arsenal lost 1-0 to Juventus then beat Real Madrid 1-0, Hamburg won the cup
2009 - Arsenal beat Atlético Madrid 2-1 then beat Glasgow Rangers 3-0 to win the cup
2010 - Arsenal drew 1-1 with AC Milan then beat Glasgow Celtic 3-2 to win the cup
2011 - Arsenal drew 2-2 with Boca Juniors then drew 1-1 with New York Red Bulls, New York Red Bulls won the cup
2012 - We had the hump so did not have the Emirates Cup
2013 - ?

(Saturday 3rd August 2013 & Sunday 4th August 2013)

There have been many rumours as to who might be lucky enough to be invited to play in the "Its a cup so stop moaning and just cough up money for your season tickets cup you twats Cup"

Being named "Emirates" would suggest that fellow teams who have the same shirt sponsors like us would be invited ...

Some of the teams that have been rumoured to be coming :

Juventus (Italy)
Real Madrid (Spain)
Galatasary (Turkey)
Millonarios (Columbia)
Hamburg (Germany)
Beijing Guoan (China)

I think it would be a disgrace to have Galatasary here after what happened around the 2000 UEFA Cup final which had a reported 19 injuries, 4 stabbings & 60 arrests the vast majority of which was caused by the Galatasary fans and the shit they had with Leeds Utd back on April 6th 2000 when two Leeds Utd fans were killed by Galatasary fans.

It might only be a tiny minority of the Galatasary fans that cause the problems but like G.C from She Wore said on our podcast inviting them will cause no end of problems due to the nature of some of their fans.

I'll be honest with you guys I was looking to take my son to the emirates for the emirates cup as his first visit on what is supposed to be a family day but since Galatasaray have been announced I am worried about taking him. It maybe that it is the minority but I don't think it's an environment for kids if that minority are setting off flares and causing issues,.

I'll be taking a kid and a couple of mates to the game. Is the best experience for a non-Arsenal or to get a little bit hooked.

Let's be honest the hard core Galata fans are not going to do the trip to London. There is a huge turkish community in N London (best kebabs there) which would go to see their home favourites but that's about it. Trouble?I don't think they need any after what's going on in their country.

Let bygones be bygones.

Napoli goodie. Porto goodie.
