Gervinho - Genius or Bumbling Buffoon

The ultimate drive you crazy character. He can tinkle toe his way into the penatly box but then decides it would be easier to pass the ball behind the nearest red shirt or have a shot on goal that makes us want to get on our knees and cry.

The guy must have some kind talent, because you dont hit 7 goals without a little. This season began as expected, hit and miss. But after his return from a successful Africa Cup of Nations he seems to be hitting form (if that's what this is) at the right time and Arsenal push on for a top 4 finish.

Good point, but his stats before joining us were quite good even though League 1 is not that great (i do like it though)

Lille
2009–10 - 40 games, 18 goals, 5 assists
2010–11 - 53 games, 18 goals, 11 assists *French champions & French FA cup winners with Eden Hazard in the team

Ivory Coast he has 13 in 45 and is one of their best players

ive no idea what his problem is, but 11 goals in 61 games for us is not good at all, even Chamakh has a better ratio with 14 in 67!

The human mind is so mysterious. Who knows why he can't replicate that form, has he settled well at the club? And Chamakh looked so promising when he first arrived at the club, he can't seem to get near a goal without freaking out.

Funny no one says about Arshavin he was a waste of money. He scored vs Liverpool & Barca and he was and instant legend. Please

I said it before and I'll repeat it if Gervinho goes to a different team he'll be brilliant. We lack something in our home garden to keep them interested in fighting

You could say that, but when you contrast their performances to someone like Podolskis, there is a clear difference. Whilst it's up to the club to provide a competitive atmosphere for players to tussle in, the club can't be responsible if a player isn't determined to put the effort in to achieve the high standards expected. It wasn't until Theo put in hours after training that he was able to show any kind of form worth rewarding. Depsite Arshavins temporary 'legendary spell' I don't believe he was ever worth the money paid for him, and it's definetly a shame because we all saw the potential there.
