Arsenal Sign New Kit Deal With Puma

Postby The GFP » May 8th, 2013, 3:26 am

I have read all over the internet today that Arsenal have ...

"Arsenal have agreed the most lucrative kit contract in British football with Puma.

The Gunners rake in £30m a year from a five-year deal with Emirates.

Now they have reached an agreement with the Boston-based firm for £30m a year over five years from the end of 2013/14." @MailOnline

That is an amazing deal in this near triple dip recession.

Other top kit deals ...
Liverpool - £25.0m with Warrior
Manchester Utd - £19.133m with nike
Arsenal - £7.857m per season with Nike (2007-2014)

Still to be confirmed by the club though

Puma currently make the kits for

I think it is a fantastic deal for the club. I've seen a few complaints about it on twitter regarding it saying that Puma are a "cheap brand" which in itself made me laugh.

We all know the big companies Nike, Addidas etc however the impression I got from speaking to the club shop was that there had been a lot of people that weren't happy with the kit availability this season because for example the 3XL shirt sizes didn't come in until November (Nike's fault apparently)

Obviously we've known the deal was coming to an end for sometime now If Puma are willing to pay us £30 million a year to produce kits then so be it. I don't even need to see what the kit looks like, because to me if it has Arsenal on the front of it then I will wear it with pride.
