*All 4 we were winning and threw it away at one point.

Now my excuses for the ones i missed from 87/88 onwards ...

1993 League Cup Final - Just left home (April 1993) so was skint

1994 CWC Final - not feasible for me to get to Copenhagen
1994 European Super Cup 2nd Leg - Had planned to go with a mate but it never happened as was just too far to drive there and back in a day
1995 CWC Final - Could have driven to Paris but had no money
2000 UEFA Cup Final - not feasible for me to get to Copenhagen (again)
2002 FA Cup Final - i sent my cheque in for the final tickets and it did not arrive and so when i went to the next game and offered to write a new cheque there and then they said too late!

After the 2006 Champions League Final i was coming out of the stadium with my mate mark and we were talking about being at finals and loosing and he trumped my 3 & 4 as he had been to the 78 & 80 fa cup finals and the 1980 cwc final

Then his brother David who is about 15 years older trumped us both by saying he had been to the 1968 & 1969 League Cup Finals & the 1972 FA Cup Final & the 1970 UEFA Cup Final!

I either didn't realise or had forgotten the UEFA cup defeat happened in the same place as our greatest ever European victory. I went to Parken when Rovers played Copenhagen in the CL last season. Magnificent stadium and reminded me more than a little of Highbury.

im not one for european away games, of my 406 games 1 was away in europe

id forgotten/did not know the 1994 cwc & 2001 uefa cup were in the same stadium
