Club turned professional. Some players did not want to go professional and so formed their own club 'Royal Ordnance Factories' playing their games at Invicta Ground then later at Maze Hill in Greenwich. They played in the FA Amateur Cup and were founder members of the Southern League in 1894/95. They resigned from the Southern League in 1896 and were dissolved in late 1896.
