I've jus totalled up my stats for Tony. I've got as follows :

Lge / Prem : 510 (4sub) - 34gls.
FA Cup : 53 (1) - 7
League Cup : 58 (1) - 5
Europe : 48 - 3 (inc. UEFA super-cup)
Charity Shield : 4

Total : 673 (6), 49 gls.

The official totals in the 2008-09 handbook are 663 (6), 48gls. I stand by my figures. The discrepancy in goals is because I credit TA with the first against Liverpool 21.8.00, generally credited to Lauren.

what do you make and where is it wrong and why?

you say "Europe : 48 - 3 (inc. UEFA super-cup)"

ive got 49 including the 2 super cup games?

1991/92 : European Cup - 4 Games & 0 Goals
1993/94 : Cup Winners Cup - 8 Games & 2 Goals
1994/95 : Cup Winners Cup - 8 Games & 0 Goals

1999/00 : Champions League - 5 Games & 0 Goals
1999/00 : UEFA Cup - 6 Games & 0 Goals
2000/01 : Champions League - 8 Games & 0 Goals

some places say Tony played 4 CL games in 98/99, ive got it as 5?

RC Lens 1-1 Arsenal
Arsenal 2-1 Panathinaikos
Arsenal 1-1 Dynamo Kiev
Dynamo Kiev 3-1 Arsenal
Arsenal 0-1 RC Lens

http://www.11v11.com/players/tony-adams-31/ but i think that may be wrong and he only played in 4

ive not checked my rothmans books yet though

for league wiki has 504, you have 514?

just checked with the history man Andy Kelly @Gooner_AK and he gave me this link

http://stats.woolwicharsenal.co.uk/aftlu.htm

Look at season 2001-2 for his final figures.

seems you have put Lge / Prem : 510 (4sub) - 34gls. when its 500 + 4 sub

You're absolutely right. I stand by my figures, I don't stand by my addition. Totalling up again, I did mis-count yesterday. In my defence, I was stubbornly trying to do it without the aid of a calculator, on a hot night, after a couple of Żywiec.

500 starts. A nice round figure on which to retire...

He didn't play in Kyiv, in Nov. 98.

(1) 3 - 1 (0) Arsenal
Kiev, Wednesday 4th November 1998
UEFA Champions League
scorers: Rebrov 27 (pen) Hughes 83
Holovko 62
Shevchenko 72

Arsenal:
Seaman
Dixon Bould (Grimandi 45) Keown Winterburn
Vivas (Garde 84) Vieira Parlour Petit BoaMorte (Hughes 67)
Wreh

So that's only 4 CL apps for that season.
